July, 2005:
This
Trachycarpus fortunei was planted in March 2004 and is recovering well from
several nights of -3F last winter. The foliage was excellent until the end of
January, then browned after -3, 0 and -3F in succession. It began regrowing
from the central bud in April. We are in Southeast PA between Philadelphia and
Lancaster, in zone 6.
I
purchased the Palm in Savannah, Georgia while on vacation and brought it back
on a whim. since June it has gotten fuller. It is a conversation piece when
people come over!
